Current Work in Progress
This is my current work in progress, shown in all its stages so far. Advice, critique, or comments loved.

1) Sketch
In a few of my favorite manga, angels come from eggs. I decided to do my own version, envisioning an angel in dark organic surroundings with light shining from the inside of the egg.

2) Base colors
Here I used the basic color to give the overall mood, basic shadows and the yellow for the inside of the egg, just to get a feel for it.

3) Working the figure
I worked the figure to where I'm almost satisfied with it. Wing needs more work. Then I went over to sketch planned detail, so I don't have to rely on the pencil sketch anymore. Added a few textures to break up the monotony of color. Actually starting to look like something now!

4) Working the wing
Work on the wing. Still not satisfied, but it's time to move on for now.

I've been lucky with some artist friends that push me to get better. :3 But thank you!

It looks like you have a nice style, though. If you ever need advice or critique, feel free to ask.
